I’m a root-cause Dietitian
I became a dietitian because of my own health journey. Growing up, I absorbed the message early on that smaller meant better — and that turned into disordered eating habits, stuck in a cycle of restricting and binging I felt I couldn’t escape. Learning that the restriction itself was causing the binging was my first mini lesson in root cause thinking. Years later I was still caught in that diet mindset just in a different mask— trying different "wellness" diets, fasting, working out, thinking I was doing the right things — until my body told me otherwise. I lost my period, couldn't sleep, gained weight, and felt anxious and irritable all the time. Finding functional nutrition and earning my masters in sports nutrition helped me finally connect the dots, heal, and keep training the way I love — but with fueling and nourishment at the center instead of restriction.
That experience shapes everything about how I work today. I help people get to the root of why they feel the way they do — chronic symptoms, weight gain, gut issues, hormonal conditions, under-performing in sport, or just not feeling like yourself. To me, root cause means two things: looking at the whole body to find the original cause rather than band-aiding it, and asking the deeper questions about why someone is struggling in the first place — where did this habit start, and what purpose is it serving you today? Lasting change takes more than a nutrition plan. It takes the right habits, mindset, and identity shifts to make it stick.
